Mask Matters was started from the initiative to get people back into daily life, feel safe and still look fashionable. Prior to starting Mask Matters, I already have a lot of work experience in the fabric and fashion industry. I worked for years for a fabric wholesaler and I did internships in China.
When COVID-19 entered the world and I also had to work at home, I contacted my connections to see what we could do. The goal was to give people the opportunity to leave their home in a safe, yet fashionable way.
This is how Mask Matters was born, a movement to offer the range of face masks to the less crucial, yet important professions for a fair price.
We are convinced that just like in Asian countries, where the masks have become part of the street scene after the SARS outbreak in 2003, the masks will also make its appearance in Europe.
